The house, in its most basic geometric form, has long been a potent symbol in the realm of human consciousness and dreams. In my "Box Homes" series, the house shape acts as a central motif, reduced to its simplest form, akin to a box.
In our dream world, a house often serves as a projection of the self. Each room can represent different aspects of our personality or stages in our life. In dreams, exploring a new room may signify the discovery of new talents, beliefs, or thoughts, indicating growth and personal development.
In my series, "Box Homes", the house does not have doors or windows. It is a closed box, a blank slate that begs the question - what lies within?
The box house, much like an unfilled room in a dream, is a symbol of potential awakening - a catalyst for reflection and introspection.
Furthermore, as some of the houses in "Box Homes" appear to sink into a geometric mist, the physical form gradually loses its rigid definition. This echoes the fluid nature of dreams and the gradual process of awakening, where old realities dissolve to make way for new understandings.
